Sean O'Sullivan, Executive Chairman
Prior to joining Mapflow as Executive Chairman, Sean was a founder or seed investor in 20 high tech companies, some 6 of which have gone on to become public companies or divisions/acquisitions of large public companies. Sean was a founder and President of the US-based MapInfo for its first 6 years, the pioneering company in "desktop mapping" and the first company to successfully combine databases with maps on microcomputers, and was involved with it until the time when it was ranked #28th of the largest US microcomputer software companies, and on the top 50 of the Inc 500 fastest growing companies in the United States. He has been on the board of directors of the Massachusetts Software Council, and founded or co-founded the Center for Open Software at Rensselaer, the "Breakfast with the Stars" program at MIT, the "Change the World Challenge" at Rensselaer, and founded and grew the international humanitarian organization JumpStart International from 0 to 3,500 workers. He received his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and his MFA in Film Production from the University of Southern California.

Sean also remains general partner of SOSventures, a diversified fund which has grown 27% annually from its inception in 1994. SOSventures Investments Ltd, the Irish subsidiary, is headquartered in Kinsale, Ireland.

Richard Bryce, Chief Executive Officer
Richard joined Mapflow as CEO in 2000.

During his six years as CEO, Richard has driven Mapflow's strategic shift from being a niche, domestically focused organisation, to an internationally focused product and services organisation with a high profile customer base. Richard has led two successful rounds of funding spanning VC and strategic investors, has built out the management team, and successfully grown revenue and profitability. During his time with Mapflow, the company has been short-listed for a number of technology awards and has been consistently ranked as a Deloitte Fast 50 company.

Before joining Mapflow Richard spent six years in Ireland and the US with Accenture, and a further three years as a program manager for a multi-billion-dollar international retailer. During his time with Accenture Richard worked primarily within the government and retail sectors.

A graduate of Trinity College Dublin, Richard has more than fifteen years of ICT experience, is an active participant in the Irish ICT sector, is a member of the Executive Council of the Irish Software Association and previously served within the ICT Ireland Education working group.

Harvey Appelbe, CTO and founder
As co-founder and CTO of Mapflow, Harvey spearheads its technology strategy and thought leadership. He is a recognised expert in the development, adoption and application of location to real-world business solutions. An Aerospace Systems Engineering graduate of The University of Hertfordshire, Harvey is an active member of several industry bodies, a contributor and advisor to industry press, and the inventor of several patents.

Alan Moore, Non-Executive Director
Alan Moore (www.alanmoore.ie) is a well known tax advisor, author and entrepreneur. With 29 years' experience in taxation, he is a former inspector of taxes and was consultant to Revenue on the drafting of the Taxes Consolidation Act 1997. A regular contributor to the Sunday Business Post, he has also written several books including the bestselling annual, Tax Magic (www.taxmagic.ie). He has also developed a highly successful web-publishing enterprise (www.taxworld.ie).

Paul O'Dea, Non-Executive Director
Paul O'Dea is CEO and co-founder of Select Strategies, a consulting and education company that helps technology companies striving to grow revenue. Previously, Paul was a founder of an international banking software company that was acquired by one of the world's largest application-software companies. He has mentored sales organisations in the United States, Europe, Australia and Asia, as well as led market, sales and product management development efforts at numerous technology companies. Paul is active in new ventures and currently serves on the board of several early-stage technology companies. He is widely published in the field of entrepreneurial sales and marketing, and is co-author of the book Select Selling (Oak Tree Press 2004).

Joe Cunningham, Non-Executive Director
A founder of Aldiscon (now Acision, formerly LogicaCMG's Telecoms Products division) and APiON (the WAP server company now part of Openwave Inc), Joe Cunningham is a respected leader in the development of wireless technologies. Both Aldiscon and APiON have made Ireland a global leader in the development of cutting-edge wireless software products. Joe is now chairman of Ammeon, a solution provider to the mobile media industry.
