The O2 Network is put on the map
Mapflow deploys real-time map of the O2 network
Dublin, October 2004. Irish company
Mapflow today announced the deployment of its LocationAgent
product suite into O2 Ireland's Customer Care centre.
The LocationAgent product suite provides a real-time,
map-based representation of the O2 network which presents
detailed network performance and incident management
data directly to Customer Care agents.
Customer Care agents can view the status of the network
in any location and at any point in time, which enables
them to respond immediately to customer queries on coverage
of the O2 network in any part of the country.
Richard Bryce, CEO of Mapflow explains "This is
another great example of how a web based mapping solution
delivers tangible value to our customers' operations.
LocationAgent not only provides the means to interrogate
complex network status data, but, using web services, also
distributes this information efficiently throughout a large
organisation".

The system went live earlier this
year and is used by 400 agents operating on a 24/7 basis
in O2's Limerick
based customer care centre.
