Mapflow Geo

The Mapflow GEO suite is an insurance specific set of products which allows location-aware rating capability to be deployed throughout an insurance organisation’s pricing and underwriting functions.

The suite comprises the following software components:
Business Application Layer

• Mapflow GEO: underwriting A browser based application used to visualise risk potentials based on various perils, claims and accumulations. This tool is used by underwriters and specialists and is available as a visual tool or as a non visual dashboard with an associated ‘score’;
• Mapflow Geo:tag. A tool to batch risk tag multiple locations (package and portfolio risk);

Services Layer

• Mapflow GEO server. A middleware platform which is the engine that powers Mapflow’s GEO applications;
• Mapflow GEO:risk. Used to define customer specific business rules – such as the threshold at which postcode level risks are referred to property level lookups;

Database Layer

• A series of geographic perils models, mapping and address databases stored in Oracle Spatial.

Data Administration Layer

• Mapflow GEO: analysis. A desktop tool, built using industry standard GIS that allows data manipulation and publishing as well to create ad-hoc queries and reports.
